The Rocket Liquidity Provider is a community-owned, protocol-run pool that provides liquidity to Rocket, runs market making strategies and handles liquidations. Depositing USDC gives you a share of that activity without having to run a market making desk yourself.
The operator is Rocket, and the operator fee is 0% — the vault is infrastructure for the exchange rather than a revenue product layered on top of it.
Three jobs. It provides liquidity to Rocket's markets, so there is depth quoted on both sides of the book. It runs market making strategies against that liquidity. And it stands behind liquidations, taking on positions that must be closed when a trader's margin falls below maintenance.
That last role is worth understanding before depositing. A liquidity backstop earns steadily in normal conditions and is exposed precisely when markets move violently, which is when liquidations cluster. The return profile is not a yield product; it is compensation for carrying risk the exchange would otherwise have to place elsewhere.
Market makers on a continuous exchange face adverse selection: when fair value moves, the fastest takers pick off quotes that have not been pulled yet. The standard defence is to widen spreads and show less size, which makes the book worse for everyone.
Rocket's micro auctions damp that. Because each block clears at a uniform price and orders inside it are simultaneous, a quote left standing when fair value moves is cushioned by the new orders joining the same batch rather than being sniped at the stale price. A liquidity provider that is not being systematically picked off can quote tighter and deeper — which is the point of the vault existing on this exchange in particular.
Deposits move USDC from your Rocket trading balance into the vault, and withdrawals move it back. Both are instant and fee-free, with no lock-up. The header shows APR, total value locked, your balance and your all-time profit or loss from the vault.
Beyond the headline figures, the page publishes the vault's Sharpe ratio, average daily returns, returns volatility and maximum drawdown, plus live cross leverage, cross margin usage, cross margin ratio, maintenance margin and unrealised profit and loss. Its balances, positions, open orders, trade history, depositor list and transfers are all visible. This is deliberately more disclosure than a typical yield product offers, because the risk is real and depositors should be able to price it.
It is a community-owned and protocol-run pool that provides liquidity to Rocket, runs market making strategies, and handles liquidations. Depositors supply USDC to the pool and share in the results of that activity, rather than running a market making operation themselves.
Vault deposits come from your Rocket trading balance rather than directly from your wallet, so you fund the account with USDC first and then move part of that balance into the vault. The deposit is instant and carries no fee.
Yes. Withdrawals convert your vault holding back to USDC on your trading balance. They are instant and fee-free, and the interface shows your withdrawable balance directly. There is no lock-up period.
The operator is Rocket itself, and both the operator fee and the minimum operator share are 0%. The vault page displays both figures alongside the vault's age and leader address.
The page reports APR as the annualised return, alongside total value locked, your own balance and your all-time profit or loss from the vault. A chart plots return, net asset value and TVL over 7 days, 30 days, 90 days or a year. Past performance is a record of what the strategy has done, not a projection of what it will do.
The vault takes real trading risk. It runs market making strategies and absorbs liquidations, so it can lose money as well as make it. The page publishes the risk statistics that matter for judging that: Sharpe ratio, average daily returns, returns volatility and maximum drawdown, plus live cross leverage, margin usage and margin ratio for the vault's open positions. Deposit only what you can afford to see fall in value.
Yes. The vault's balances, open positions, open orders and trade history are all shown on the page, along with the list of depositors and a transfer history. Because settlement is onchain, the same activity can be verified independently on the Rocketberg explorer.
